Hi Bloggy Friends!  It's officially summer in my house.  My youngest son and I finished school at the end of May.
However, we saw the home school evaluater on Thursday and she gave us the thumbs up and official letter...now it's really over for the summer.  And that closes a chapter in my career as a home school mom.
I enrolled my son in a cyber charter school for 6th grade and although he will still be schooling at home I will be here to supervise and not be the "teacher". Traditional home schooling has been both a blessing and rewarding however, I'm excited about the change and looking forward to this new chapter in our lives.
Kimberly from Art Joy Stuff (button on the right sidebar) hosted a red, white and blue atc swap.  Each swapper spelled America on their atc's and she's making a hanging banner/garland.  I can't wait to get mine!  Here's my contribution.  Lisa's Altered Art is a great resource for digital images.
So that's about it for now.  I'm still knitting away and I just started reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.  I'm hoping to get done knitting the blanket in the next two weeks.  I picked up an old sewing machine and am looking forward to trying my hand at making some pillows.  (nothing difficult...I don't want my head to explode)  I will share about my adventures in sewing at another date.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!  TTFN
